Scavenger Hunt in Lower Manhattan

Nate, a shopping app powered by AI, created a promotional scavenger hunt in lower Manhattan. After getting a tutorial of the app, participants would follow the provided map to each location, searching for QR codes along the way that would award prizes.

Each location had a unique activation, ending with a rave dance party.


PRE-PRODUCTION ROLES

  • Visit each scavenger hunt stop with the client to discuss their vision

  • Attend many site visits with print vendor to relay client's vision and discuss options 

  • Create initial mockup of on-location vinyl/banner install 

  • Determine A/V needs at each venue, working with client overall ideas, budget and available equipment 

  • Prep graphic files for stencil creation, research stencil material specifications

  • Source stencil supplier 

  • Source art materials: chalk sticks, spray chalk

  • Loading in and installing A/V gear

  • Apply wheatpaste posters the day before event



EVENT DAY ROLES

  • Apply QR code stickers and posters along scavenger hunt route

  • Circulate around event locations, making sure event staff have everything they need

  • Check in with client regularly and address any issues
